Composition: 100% Dried Timothy grass

Analytical constituents

Specification ranges: Crude Fat (Oil) 3 - 5%; Crude Ash 8 - 10%; Crude Protein 8 - 14%; Crude Fibre 25 - 30%; Sugar <11%; Starch <0.5%; Digestible Energy Medium, 10 - 11 MJ/kg.

Major minerals: Calcium 0.66%; Phosphorus 0.16%; Sodium 0.02%; Potassium 1.64%; Magnesium 0.1%; Chloride 1.01%; Sulphur 0.14%.

Minor minerals: Copper 4 mg/kg; Manganese 58 mg/kg; Zinc 18 mg/kg; Iron 83 mg/kg; Selenium 0.1 mg/kg.

Feeding guide

As with any new feed, introduce gradually over a week. Blue Bag Grass Pellets are ideally fed soaked. Alternatively, mix with soaked PuraBeet or a Simple System chop and dampen well. For foals, greedy, elderly or dentally challenged horses, Blue Bag Grass Pellets should be soaked. Use 2.5 times their volume of water. Feed according to requirement & condition. Start with 100g per 100kg of bodyweight per day, increase as required up to a maximum of 5kg per day. For example, for a 500kg horse start with 500g per day (dry weight, before soaking) and increase as required. A level Stubbs bowl scoop = 1.5kg (dry weight) approximately.
